About Me

My biggest passion is to help cats who are cautious, fearful, or just not very comfortable with humans. I have worked with many animal shelters and rescues over the years, and it is clear to me that I am at my best when I can help cats and their caregivers in this way. My ultimate goal is to create a behavior and training facility that will serve as a refuge for misunderstood cats, and for now I am saving up for this exciting endeavor. In the meantime, I am here to serve the cautious cat population and their guardians, which include foster parents, shelter caregivers, new adopters, and other rescue volunteers who seek to learn how to better care for cautious cat populations.

I take a Fear Free approach in my work with all animals. This means that I take the least stressful route in order to achieve the goals we have in mind with our feline friends. I look at the individual cat and their needs, the guardian and their needs, the space and type of housing for the particular cat(s), and I consider the most functional approach that I can manifest.

I can help you to create a more comfortable habitat for your cat, promote bonding and trust between cat and caregiver, increase safety with handling, help your foster cat to become more adoptable, and even help with things like nail trims and getting your cat into a carrier. I invite you to contact me for any questions that you might have, and I will be very honest about whether I feel that I will be able to help you and your kindred cat.
